A new construction of approximately 302,000 GSF of laboratory and office spaces.

The building structure consists of concrete flat plate over concrete columns at the first and second floors and composite slab on steel frame on the upper floors.

Antonucci Science Complex, Fitchburg State University
The project included a new 55,000 GSF addition for biology and chemistry departments. This was followed by a full renovation of the Condike Science Building, now known as the Condike Wing. Also included in the project was a renovation of the adjacent Sanders auditorium.

The new three story, 47,000 GSF structure is a steel braced frame above the ground level. The partial basement is founded on a 30 inch thick concrete mat to resist uplift due to the high water table.

The existing Condike building is a cast in place concrete frame with ribbed slabs at each floor.

Marshall Conant Science Building, Bridgewater State University
The project entailed demolition of 60,000 SF of outdated space, 40,000 SF of renovations, and a 170,000 SF addition to the existing Marshall Conant Science Building. The new facility provides laboratories, classrooms, offices and support space for the biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, geography, math and computer science departments.

Metcalf Science Building
The building structure is steel framed supported by concrete spread footings. The building is stabilized by a combination of concentrically and eccentrically braced frames and moment frames.

Renovation of approximately 74,000 GSF of the existing Metcalf Chemistry Laboratory and Metcalf Research Laboratory.

The renovation provided a new home for the recently merged Departments of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences and the Department of Psychology.

The project entailed complete interior and exterior renovation of the buildings. Exterior improvements include a new slate roof and historically appropriate windows as well as masonry restoration. Interior renovations include all new office and dry lab spaces for faculty, staff and students. New classroom space, meeting and conference rooms, and public lobby space were created. The existing auditorium was fully renovated into a fully accessible state of the art teaching space.

North Shore Community College Varian Building Chemistry Laboratory Renovations
The 3-story 106,000 GSF building consists of two wings, arrayed at angles to the central lobby space.

A 6-story addition to the original 1984 building with 77,000 GSF of laboratories and supporting spaces, and an on-grade parking level.

The building is framed in steel with braced frames providing lateral stability. The foundation system consists of spread footings. Precast concrete panels form the exterior skin.
